“I don’t need a mobile responsive website!”

You couldn’t be more wrong. Last year Google made changes to boost their mobile-friendly algorithm. What this means to you and your business is this: If your website isn’t responsive or mobile-friendly, it’s less likely to show up in Google search results.

The world has shifted to an online presence that is impossible to ignore. Consumer researching and purchasing habits have altered in such a way that every business needs to re-examine their marketing strategy to make sure their advertising and marketing campaigns are where their customers are. And let us tell you, they are invariably online, and more specifically, they are researching and shopping on their mobile devices more and more every year.

So, if you haven’t transitioned to where your customers are then you are increasingly missing out on opportunities to generate new business and revenue. If you’re like me, you don’t like leaving money on the table.

Why Go Mobile?

1) It’ll give you access to the 1.2 billion people who use their mobile phones to search the internet every single day. Of course, not all 1.2 billion people are looking for your product or service, but chances are if they are looking for a product and service, they will be doing so online first.

2) It’ll create better brand engagement. The average user will impulse-search on their mobile device as a foundation to searching more in depth later. By creating an engaging, interactive, and responsive mobile experience for your business you’ll be reaching your customers at their first stop on the buying journey.

“61% of users are unlikely to return to a mobile site they had trouble accessing and 40% visit a competitor’s site instead.” – Google, 2016

3) AND HERE IS THE CLINCHER: As mentioned above, Google actively punishes websites that are not mobile responsive. As a company, Google wants to provide the best user experience possible. This now includes making sure the websites they provide in their search results are viewable no matter what device people are browsing on. If you want to hold onto or improve your Google ranking, your website MUST be mobile responsive. No exceptions.

Now is the time to make sure your website is responsive. Want to check yourself. If you haven’t recently looked at your website on your mobile device I strongly encourage you to do so.

If you want an expert opinion, we can help you with that (said with all humility . . . sorta).
