TikTok’s New Promote Button

TikTok has released a new promotion button feature. The new feature will allow users to turn their unique videos into targeted ads. This new feature enables TikTok users to optimize their content for their business to gain brand awareness. It will affect both business and non-business accounts.

As Social Media moves towards sales-focused advertising, it is no surprise that TikTok recently released a ‘Promote’ ad option for its users. Business owners can now take advantage of the new feature to more effectively build brand awareness and enhance their user experience.

TikTok’s new advertising feature allows businesses to promote and grow their reach through their unique videos. TikTok’s new Promote button is just the beginning of the company’s efforts to stay ahead of marketing trends and provide its users with a valuable experience.

According to TikToks user guide, the new button will also allow its users to;

Track basic information on videos as a result of the Promote campaign, such as:

  • The number of your video views.
  • The number of likes, comments, and shares for your video.
  • How many people visited your website link.
  • The age and gender of the people interacting with your video.

It is of course important to note that TikTok has its guidelines and limitations when it comes to advertising. To make sure your ads comply with the communities’ rules, check out the website before you use the Promote button.

Furthermore, just like any other form of advertising, the new feature has a cost for users who decide to use it. Promoting your video ad will incur a cost, however, if it results in more sales than the price paid for the ad, you can be certain that the ROI is worthwhile.

What does that mean for non-business accounts? It likely means targeted ad’s strategically placed in areas that you may not even notice. It may appear as a new video in your feed and simply be an ad without you even realizing it. The new Promote advertising tool will allow you to have a more personal experience when using the app. As always, if the video ad isn’t something you are interested in, you can always keep scrolling.
