Although we don’t see her around the office much since she works remotely, our Client Services Representative, Lindsay, helps out plenty with the Sayvee workload. Lindsay has several roles, one of which is making sure the websites we design continue to operate at peak efficiency after they are launched. She also trains our clients how to manage their website and ensures they have a clear understanding of how to update sections or their site if they so choose. On top of this is a sprinkling of other important administrative work and miscellaneous tasks to help with the workflow of the Sayvee team.

Lindsay always has time to lightly sass us over Skype, and when she’s able to make it down to the office she brings a fun, chill vibe. When she’s not facepalming over things that need fixing on websites, you can most often find her behind her computer surrounded by total darkness and her two dogs. She actually might be a vampire, we’re not too sure.

So Lindsay, why did you choose to work at Sayvee?
I didn’t actually choose Sayvee, I was absorbed by Sayvee. I was working for another company that was purchased by Sayvee (then Moving Pixel) and I came along for the ride. It was a little terrifying to suddenly be employed by people I’d never met, but it turned out to be the best change that could have happened for me.

In ten words or less can you describe your favourite part of your job?
Flexibility, variety of tasks, our fantastic team.

If you could write your own job title for what you do here what would it be?
Person in charge of getting things done and professional ‘oops’ finder.

Alright now we get into the real questions. First up: What superpower would you never want to have and why?
Invisibility, but only when no one is looking at you.

What would you eat for your ideal brunch and what spice would you choose to have on it?
I’ll always go for Eggs Benedict if given the option, ideally with bacon instead of ham and super soft runny eggs, but if you mess with it by putting lots of some spice on it, I’ll cut you.

Surprise! The brunch was a ruse and you’ve been challenged to a duel by a mysterious stranger, what would be your weapon of choice be if it was a fight to the death?
Magic wand. Expelliarmus and their weapon flies out of their hand and they’re forced to walk away in shame.

On a less challenging note, what’s one of the top five movies you’ve ever seen?
Picking only one (or even five) is not a less challenging question! It totally depends on what I’m in the mood for, but I could probably watch Moulin Rouge any day with some Labyrinth after.

If you had to be trapped in a TV universe, what TV show would you want to be trapped in?
Even though things are always going horribly wrong there I’d probably want to go live in Fillory from The Magicians. There’s talking animals, a little bit of opium in the air, beasts that give you quests to go on, magic, dragons, interdimensional talking bunnies.

If you had to replace your hands with something else what would you replace them with?
Robot hands that are even better than normal hands and are ambidextrous so your right hand nail polish doesn’t end up all wibbly wobbly compared to the left.

If you had to fight one grizzly bear-sized duck or ten duck-sized grizzly bears, which would you choose to fight and why?
Easy, the grizzly bear sized duck. Just start throwing bread and walk away in the other direction.

What’s the craziest/weirdest conversation you’ve ever had?
I tend to get a little giddy and weird when I’m super tired, so probably any conversation that’s had with me after about 1:00am is probably the weirdest conversation the other person will ever have.

Let’s switch back to marketing, what’s a favourite ad you’ve seen?
Probably this one that was running while I was in the UK last year. I wasn’t really sure what it was for initially, but I stopped whatever I was doing to watch it every time it came on:

What’s one aspect of your job you’d like to see future developments for that would make it easier?
Probably something that would make it easier for clients to show exactly what they want changed or done to reduce the amount of back and forth or having to go back and do something again.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, Lindsay! Look forward in the coming months to more interviews with the swell, slick, sublime and savvy Sayvee team!
